Czwarty studyjny album Billy'ego Prestona "That's The Way God Planned It" został wydany przez Apple Records w sierpniu 1969 roku. Został wydany krótko po jego współpracy z Beatlesami i został wyprodukowany przez George'a Harrisona. Tytułowy utwór odniósł sukces na listach przebojów w Wielkiej Brytanii. Na albumie wystąpili również Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker i Doris Troy.
