Na "Live at the Fillmore East" zapisano piosenki z dwóch koncertów kapeli genialnego gitarzysty Alvina Lee z 27 i 28 lutego 1970 roku z hali Fillmore East. Poza autorskimi kompozycjami zespół wykonał wówczas również parę coverów, chociażby Chucka Berry'ego ("Sweet Little Sixteen" i "Roll Over Beethoven"), czy Willego Dixona ("Spoonful").
Prezentowane wydanie zawiera notki w książeczce autorstwa perkusisty Ten Years After, Rica Lee.
