Overkill - The Atlantic Albums Box Set 1986-1994 (6CD)

Overkill to amerykańska thrashmetalowa kapela, która powstała w 1980 roku w New Jersey. Często nazywani Motörhead thrash metalu, wypracowali unikatowy styl zainspirowany punk rockiem oraz Nową Falą Brytyjskiego Heavy Metalu. Byli też pierwszym thrashmetalowym zespołem, który podpisał kontrakt z dużą wytwórnią płytą (Atlantic Records w 1986 roku). W latach 80., razem z Wielką Czwórką (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax), Exodus i Testament współtworzyli prężnie rozwijająca się thrashową scenę. Największy sukces odnieśli za sprawą drugiej płyty "Taking Over" z 1987 roku. Pięć kolejnych płyt, także wydanych w barwach Atlantic - "Under the Influence" (1988), "The Years of Decay" (1989), "Horrorscope" (1991), "I Hear Black" (1993) i "W.F.O." (1994) - ugruntowało pozycję Overkill na thrashmetalowej scenie. Obecnie zespół ma 19 studyjnych albumów i wciąż gra koncerty na całym świecie.
